Céu Zero is an installation conceived a a musical, visual and spatial composition. It unfolds like a generative piece of music, never repeating in exactly the same way, with layers that overlap, shift and continuously transform.

The piece is made up of sixteen towers of double-sided LED panels. Everything shown on those screens is generated directly from the audio itself, but these are not images in the usual sense. The LEDs are used as light sources, and the visual dimension of the work comes from the way that light occupies and reshapes the space.

As the screens are arranged one behind the other rather than side by side, the light no longer comes from a flat surface. It gains volume and depth. And because the audio is spatialized as well, the movement of sound through space stays in sync with the movement of color.
