Designed by Estudio Guto Requena, the first Hermès pop-up store in Brazil was a space where architecture and technology were brought together. I was responsible both for the concept and for the full development of a large interactive storefront made of projected fabrics that wrapped around the store.
The imagery drew from visual elements associated with Hermès, Bolduc ribbons, horses and other motifs, which transformed in response to the presence of visitors. A heart-rate sensor made the entire space pulse in sync with the visitors’ bodies, while motion sensors made the images move as people walked past the store.
