For a few months, Mizuno had a pop-up store at Edifício Renata. I was invited by Hood, which designed the overall experience, to create an interactive installation for the space.

Ten sneakers functioned as one large musical instrument. Each one was tied to a different sound, triggered and shaped by movement. Visitors were invited to interact with the piece by controlling these layers of sound, which together formed a composition.

Inside each shoe was a 3D-printed part fitted with an accelerometer, the kind typically used in drones. These sensors sent motion data over Wi-Fi to a Raspberry Pi, which generated the sound in real time. No computer involved.
