What interests me most in electronic music is sound design. It is quite common for a track to be built from timbres that do not really belong to any specific instrument, and may not carry much melodic or harmonic information at all. They are sounds, not necessarily notes. That way of thinking about music has always stayed with me.
Over years of music production, I developed a set of techniques that lets me work deeply with those aspects of sound. My current setup is built around a modular synthesizer that I control through code. That makes it possible for me to perform fully improvised live sets: there are no prewritten compositions or fixed musical lines, as everything is generated algorithmically in real time. The performance happens as a dialogue, where I respond to what the computer is doing while shaping it at the same time.
