At the Mídia Master event, everyone walking into the Netflix Ads talk was handed a small TV and asked a few quick questions about their favorite shows. At a specific moment during the talk, all the little screens changed at once, each one revealing a different character, chosen from each person's answers, and playing the famous "tudum".
The entire technical solution for this project was created by me in collaboration with SupLab. Inside each TV, modeled and 3D-printed by Guilherme Fiorentini, was a small screen and a microcontroller. Each set of answers was tied to a specific TV and sent to a server, which triggered the change on every screen in sync over Wi-Fi.
Because it is an e-paper display, the image never fades: the character stays on the screen even after the battery runs out.
